Software architect, full-stack engineer, Executive MBA in progress.
Full-stack architect building scalable systems and engineering team foundations. Bridging the gap between technical execution and business strategy.
Background
I've spent the last decade designing and building systems that other engineers build on top of — APIs, ETL pipelines, front-end applciations, infrastructure that has to outlast the team that wrote it. Most of that work happens in C#, TypeScript, Postgres and Azure. Python for AI and Identity Providers are also fields of my interest as are content management and ecommerce systems
What I'm doing now
My daytime consultancy job, plus Recepture and Content Engine in the evenings: a recipe app I've been building from the content engine up. Also started my executive MBA. Currently working my way through the International Marketing course which has proven to give me some different perspectives
How I work
- Plain text and version control over slide decks, always.
- I'll happily delete code I wrote last week if the new approach is half as complex.
- The simplest system that meets the requirement wins. Twice.
- I take notes in markdown and read them on Sundays.
What I'm interested in
Content infrastructure. Domain-driven systems. Editor-facing tooling. The boring middle layer that determines whether a product feels coherent or held together with tape. Lately also: capital structure and how it shapes engineering org behavior.
